Cllr Stan Pajak

Stan was educated at Holy Rood and St. Joseph’s schools in Swindon before gaining a degree at Salford university, and says his life has revolved around his hometown here.

“My family grew up here and my greatest joy has been contributing to the life of our town through my role as a councillor, working in the community and with the wonderful charities of our town.”

A family man, Stan has four children with his wife Dawn. Education is a much talked about topic at home, as teaching runs through the family and Dawn is a Senior Teaching Assistant herself.Stan has served as a school governor for Swindon schools, including Holy Rood Primary, Robert le Kyng, Commonweal and St Josephs, and truly believes education is key.

This reflects the core of Swindon Lib Dems’ priorities:

  1. To deliver a fairer economy that works for everyone by investing in public services.
  2. To invest in our schools and the NHS
  3. To tackle the climate emergency

“I stand up for a united Swindon and will target where our town is failing in education, health and social care, housing, a town centre and heritage to be proud of and simply listening to residents,” says Stan.

Stan is a keen runner and contributes enormously to national and local charities. He took part in the London Moonwalk walking marathon raising money for breast cancer, and has raised money by running marathons for the likes of Dial-a Ride, Samaritans, Threshold Housing Link, Brighter Futures and Queens Park Community Council. In 2019, Stan took part in the Swindon Half marathon (he has run every single one) to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
