Chris Shepherd

Chris has lived in Swindon for 15 years and was a councillor for 4 years before retiring.  Chris is a hospital technician, scout leader and governor at Lydiard Park Academy.  Chris says: My experience on the Council means that I know I will be a strong and effective voice for Wroughton. With peak-times leading to longer and longer traffic queues, 'rat-runs' have developed on many rural lanes around Wroughton and across the borough as people try and avoid the traffic jams on the main roads. With the support of local residents, I plan to hold consultations in the village to find ways of stopping these ‘rat-runs’ developing and help keep our villages clear of unwanted rush-hour traffic
